ROC remembered

Location: SO54231802 Opened 1961 Closed 1968 Date of visit: Nov 2010. Post is open. underground is stripped and flooded. a brick built aircraft post stands nearby. the owner of the post we spoke to who owns the land remembered when the ROC where there in the 1960s told us they attempted to demolish the aircraft post which is why half of it is missing. However the post was so well built they gave up! The bit they did knockdown was used as a foundation for another building.
