Post was listed on subbrit as 'all surface features intact, info received from Whitby coastguard'. And the site hadn't been visited by Nick Catford.
I visited the approximate site of the bunker. The original coastguard lookout tower is now disused. There is the remains of a concrete mounting in front of it that may have something to do with the ROC. The lookout is now right on the edge of a cliff so if had have been in front of it, it would have fallen into the sea.
There is a strange mound in the field next to Whitby Abbey, again i am unsure if it had anything to do with the ROC.
The field opposite the Abbey where the grid reference is also has no sign of the bunker.
