Location: SE45409783. Opened 1959 Closed 1968 Date of visit: Oct 2008 Post is open. Underground is in good condition for a '68 closure. The beds, toilet and even the post battery still remain. The aircraft post still stands nearby. The views from this post are fantastic, probably the best i've seen so far, you can see for miles. Its an uphill climb for over a mile to get to the post though and its very steep.
