Visit to this post was kindly arranged by the RAF. The bunker is airside near the control tower at RAF Northolt. This was a pre-arranged visit and i was escorted throughout the air base. Its a live MOD site. Please don't attempt to go their without permission.
The post is still intact, the hatch is locked however the ladder has been removed and access underground is not allowed as it is deemed to be a 'potentially hazardous confined space'.
Nearby is the concrete base remains of the aircraft post. There is also a WW2 pillbox nearby which would have defended the main runway. Inside the pillbox you can still see what may be the original WW2 signage.
