When visited by Nick Catford in 1997 the bunker was still intact. On my visit in 2009 all surface features have been removed leaving an open access shaft remaining in the undergrowth with a mangled ladder. The friendly landowner informed me the surrounding field is full of snakes including a nest of them in the post which have stopped further re-development in the area. Spotting two of them nearby i believed him and didn't hang around long.
