ROC remembered

Location: ST34525790. Opened 1959 Closed 1991 Date of visit: April 2009 Post hatch is held down with barbed wire tied around the access shaft which i couldn't undo. No access underground. The post was built back to front. Photos from the subbrit visit show the monitoring room is completely fire damaged and little remains. I find this very depressing when you see photos of how the post looked during its operational period.
