ROC remembered

Location: SU10386922. Opened 1961 Closed 1991 Date of visit: April 2009 Post is located on top of a hill in the middle of the Avebury Stones. The bunker is open. The entire top part of the access shaft has been removed including the hatch which is still locked. Underground is covered in graffiti and the sump has started to flood. A few items still remain.
